Lingrui U.S. and ShanCha Inc. Present at 2018 China Fashion Gala

On May 4, 2018 in New York, Lingrui Pharmaceutical U.S. R&D Center and ShanCha Inc. jointly participated in the 2018 China Fashion Gala hosted at The Plaza Hotel, a famous landmark hotel in New York City. The event was sponsored by both the China Institute and the Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund.

China Institute is a non-profit folk culture and art organization jointly established by world-renowned scholars Hu Shih, Dr. K. P. Wen, and distinguished education scholars John Dewey and Paul Monroe of Columbia University.

The Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund is an organization under China Soong Ching Ling Foundation dedicated to "the betterment and advancement of women and children through education, health and cultural programs worldwide". Ms. Kan is the image ambassador and executive chairman of the fund.

The event invited director of China Institute Mr. Pei Jianzhong, son of famous architect I. M. Pei, and Mr. Abigail Posner, creative director of Google to deliver a speech.

The cocktail reception launched at the beginning of the event showcases the photography and paintings of modern Chinese artist Sun Jun. The formal banquet opened with dance performances by 6 Chinese winners of the Miss Universe beauty pageant.Other programs include fashion legacy award presentations by luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co., high-end footwear retailer Christian Louboutin and premiere custom fashion designer Shanghai Tang.

There was also Fashion Icon Awards Presentation hosted by celebrity Maggie Q. Renowned Chinese designer Grace Chen revealed her new fashion line to a captivated audience.

The purpose of the event is to provide exposure for Chinese fashion to the world, inspire more innovative designers to use Chinese elements, and revitalize the field of art fashion with new energy.
